Do you wear headphones at work? I did. I never really thought of how others would think of me (I just wanna get work done okay), but apparently here’s the breakdown of this study’s responses:
- Want to be left alone — 27 percent
- Focused — 22 percent
- Busy — 17 percent
- Love music/music quality — 16 percent
- Rude/Pretentious — 9 percent
This sentence made me laugh: “Interestingly, the perception of being pretentious tripled when co-workers were wearing in-ear headphones (like AirPods)”.

- Disconnect all payment methods from your phone (if you buy online too often)
- Use cash instead of credit card or other cashless methods (more ‘pain’ when handing it over)
- Find your shopping triggers then do something about it
